Individual Consultant: Focus Group Trainer

Job Description

IRI’s work in Moldova is geared toward developing the capacity of political parties with a specific focus on outreach to voters. IRI’s programming seeks to strengthen the ability of political leaders to effectively communicate and represent the Moldovan citizens. To this end, IRI conducts public opinion surveys and trains political parties on basic public opinion research. In order to achieve this, IRI will provide trainings on planning and facilitating focus groups, analyzing quantitative data and qualitative interviews.

IRI-Moldova is seeking to contract with local, regional and international experts to serve as trainers, facilitators, and consultants for our various programming activities and events. All contractors will report to and work in close collaboration with IRI-Moldova program staff who oversee our various programs.

Period of Performance: Date of signature – March 31, 2021

Statement of Work:

The Winning Bidder will develop training materials (PowerPoint presentations, handouts, example documents, etc.) and deliver oral trainings to political party representatives in Moldova via teleconferencing software or in person.

In a statement of intent, bidders shall clarify their experience training on:

  • the methodology, organization and facilitation of focus group discussions, particularly for political purposes.
  • Using public opinion data (either through polls or focus groups) to inform campaign strategy and messaging analysis

Bidders should list all subjects on which they have relevant experience and can conduct trainings. Bidders are encouraged to advance additional public opinion research and data analysis subjects in which they have expertise and/or experience providing training.

In order to be considered as having relevant experience, bidders shall demonstrate on their resume experience as a former or current practitioner of the subject matter.
